Tackling health inequalities

Health Lottery East exists to tackle health inequalities across the East of England. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities its region. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust, to develop local interventions.

We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Razed Roof were awarded £48,400 to support an inclusive performing arts group for people with, and without, learning difficulties and disabilities.

In this short film, we find out more about the work of Razed Roof Inclusive Theatre in Harlow.

With this funding, the project aims to deliver a series of sessions that support people with severe learning difficulties to develop and deliver theatre workshops and performances for other people with severe learning difficulties as well as the wider community in Harlow and surrounding areas in Essex.
